Relax, step back in time, and enjoy a stay amid an enchanting collection of New England country antiques in the 18th century farmhouse that is Riverwind Inn, in Deep River Connecticut. In addition to eight uniquely delightful guestrooms Riverwind offers a multitude of common rooms, providing you with many fascinating spaces for mingling or privacy. Two of these common rooms boast fireplaces, including a breathtaking twelve-foot stone cooking fireplace in the keeping room. Crackling fires greet our guests during fall and winter, while spring and summer visitors enjoy our front porch amid comfortable rockers and wicker seating, and the shady stone patio overlooking the Hosta garden.
The front parlor offers a welcoming glass of sherry which you may enjoy while relaxing before the fire. Choose a board game, a card game, or a watch satellite TV from our paneled game room upstairs where the feeling is that of a gentleman's club. Or you may decide to select a book from the library and curl up before the fire in the spacious upstairs study. Wi-Fi is also available.
With its wonderfully appointed guestrooms, numerous common areas and informal country atmosphere, Riverwind Inn is more than just a place to stay.
