St. Charles Suite The light and airy room is on the first floor with a veranda view through floor to ceiling windows. Furnished with a king size 4-poster mahogany rice carved bed, Silk drapes, Bombay dresser, Belle Epoque armoire and two antique love seats which nestle before the carved mantle and tiled fireplace. A sturdy writing desk and ample space makes the suite perfect for the business traveler as well. The private bathroom has a ceramic tub and shower.

Carrollton French doors open up to this charming mid-sized room with a queen bed, chintz covered wingchair, mahogany gentleman’s armoire and mahogany dressing bureau. There is a large and airy newly renovated tiled bathroom has exposed brick and once was one of the home’s second floor porches.

The Bourbon Suite This large, sumptuous suite is at the top of the stairs of the second floor. Overlooking a 100 year-old oak tree and rooftops of neighboring mansions and Pyrtania Street, the room offers a deluxe retreat. Extremely spacious, the suite has two love seats in addition to a writing desk allowing you to spread out and get comfortable. Much of the room is furnished with authentic Victorian antiques that would have been used in the period of the house, including a pencil-post king bed, rosewood dresser and carved mahogany armoire. The room has a separate dressing room with a large mirrored closet and vanity. Enjoy the doubly large bathroom with original hexagon tile, stained-glass window and ceramic tub/shower combination. The Bourbon Suite is like so much that is special about New Orleans- classy, funky and full of delightful little surprises!

The Prytania This well-appointed room is on the second floor on the west side of the mansion and overlooks Fourth Street. Spirits rising from Lafayette Cemetery of Anne Rice fame are visible from the room. The Prytania strikes the ideal balance between stately and comfortable furnishings. With a 4-poster queen rice carved bed and green damask sleeper sofa, and full closet the room can accommodate up to four people. The dresser serves as a writing desk allowing the business traveler a place to work in style. The blue tiled fireplace and mahogany armoire complete the room's furnishing. The bathroom is large with cypress paneling and ample-sized vanity. The Prytania has beautiful afternoon light creating a wonderful environment in which to refuel after antique browsing on Magazine Street.

The Esplanade Tucked away at the end of the second floor, the Esplanade offers privacy and serenity. This inviting room has a four-poster queen mahogany rice carved bed, a matching daybed with a trundle tucked underneath allowing up to four people in the room. There is a small dressing room with built-in armoire and dressing table off the bedroom. This bright multi-windowed sitting room between the bedroom and bath was built from one of the original second floor 'sleeping porches' of the mansion. Early morning fills the room with light and the sounds of songbirds. The bathroom has a ceramic tub shower combination. Like the street which bears its name, the Esplanade is filled with quiet, non-flamboyant charm and intrigue.

The Desire Room The Desire is the Inn's smallest and most intimate room. With a white wrought-iron full bed surrounded by a mural of wisteria, the Desire captures the romantic and sensual side of New Orleans. It is also the perfect room for the single traveler eager to explore the various riches of the city. The private bath has the original hexagon tile, and a full tub with hand-held shower attachment. Even though it is our smallest room, guests staying in the Desire always seem to be having the best time!

The Tchoupitoulas The Tchoupitoulas offers a private retreat with a seperate entrance on the side of inn past the brick patio. The sitting room has seven foot windows that are decorated with floral gauze curtains allowing you to take in the palm trees and ginger bushes which surround the inn. There is an easy chair and roll top desk allowing you ample room to relax. It is a perfect spot to savor your morning coffee which is brought to your door, or enjoy a glass of wine before a night on the town. Both bedroom and bath have fourteen foot ceilings, are decorated in New Orleans lavenders and greens as well as an exposed brick fireplace. The full bed is part of an Art Deco suite and is complimented by a hand-painted armoire. The room captures the New Orlean's spirit, romantic, off-beat, colorful and fun.
