Each of the 14 guest rooms at the Newcastle Inn is named for a historic Maine lighthouse. Guest rooms are located in the Inn and the adjoining Carriage House. There is one guest room, steps from the inn, in the "cottage."

The Newcastle Inn is happy to have several rooms that are "dog friendly". Your dog is welcome in your room and outside on a leash. In consideration of other guests, dogs are not allowed in other areas of the inn. Dolce, the resident dog (a Belgian Tervuren), would love to meet your dog. Please call to inquire about bringing your dog to the Newcastle Inn, our policies and room availability.

While you are at the inn, we encourage you to relax in the common areas which include a three season porch with gas stove, living room with gas fireplace, parlor or weather permitting, outside on the deck. In the evening, after a day spent exploring, you can enjoy the charms of our own little pub. A selection of wines, cocktails and Maine micro-brewed beers is available.

Check In Policy:
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 9:00 p.m., so we can make late arrival arrangements.
Check Out Policy:
In order to prepare for the arrival of new guests, check out is 11:00 a.m.
Cancellation Policy:
A small inn such as ours is dearly affected by cancellations, and while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. We will cancel your reservations, and your deposit will be refunded, less a $25 handling charge, if we are notified 14 days in advance. If you cancel within 14 days of your reservation, you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation unless we are able to re-rent the room for the exact same dates as your reservation. Please note that a late arrival, after the first date specified, or an early departure prior to the end of your reservation are handled as cancellations and you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation, unless changes are made 14 days in advance of your arrival.

One guest room has 2 twins, all other rooms have a queen or king bed and are for 2 people in each room. Children must share room with adult.

Deposit Policy:
A deposit of one night stay is required for reservations of one or two nights. For stays of three or more nights, a deposit of 50% is required to hold your reservation. MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted for deposits and stays. The deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is made. All rates are for two people. Maine state tax of 7% will be added to each stay.
Pets Welcome
Select rooms are dog friendly. There is a limit of one dog per room, maximum weight 50 lbs. There is a $100 deposit which is refunded if no damage/extra cleaning is needed in the room. Dogs may be left alone in the room if quiet and in a crate.

There is one very friendly dog at the inn, Dolce. She is permitted in limited areas of the inn, and will be removed from the inn if guests are fearful or request it.
