In Columbia County, New York, in the historic Hudson Valley you will find the beautiful Taconic Mountains and The Bell House Bed and Breakfast. The Bell House is a gracious 19th century inn built in 1830 by the Bell family who resided there for generations. An array of maples, oaks, and evergreen trees will dance right outside your window certain rooms overlook the pool, spacious lawns and perennial gardens.
Warm and inviting, the house has comfortable rooms furnished with antiques, as well as all modern amenities. One can stroll to town, or walk or bicycle on nearby lanes or browse through Red Fox Antiques located on the grounds. Bask in the warmth of the fireplace, curl up with a book, play the piano or listen to music on a cool autumn or winter night in the comfortable living room or library.
Hike at Bash Bish Falls, Mt. Washington and Taconic State Park, and enjoy other outdoor activities, such as biking on the Harlem Rail Trail, hiking on Monument Mountain, horseback riding at nearby stables, and golfing at many golf courses in the area. Enjoy the New York and Massachusetts winter skiing at Catamount, Butternut and Jiminy Peak, both downhill and cross-country. |
