Welcome to Stay the Night Bed & Breakfast, our beautiful brownstone townhouse in the elegant and historic Carnegie Hill District, the perfect alternative to a luxury hotel, with the added value of total privacy and the best location in New York City.

Fully renovated and very secure, the house is on a tree-lined block between Fifth and Madison Avenues two minutes from the reservoir and running track in Central Park.

We have three large Victorian suites with en suite bathroom, one with a Jacuzzi, a one bedroom apartment with full kitchen and bathroom with Jacuzzi and two guest rooms one twin or double and one single overlooking the garden. These two rooms share a large luxury bathroom. The Madeline suite. A beautiful oak panelled room with an exquisite plaster ceiling, chandelier and built in antique cabinetry, the Madeline is a handsome place to call home in Manhattan. On the second floor overlooking the quiet street, our guests are afforded a glimpse of life in the last century. The bathroom has a double vanity and a large, deep cast iron tub to relax in. The Madeline is bathed in sunshine all morning.

The Apartment is on the fourth floor, which is three flights up from the lobby. This is a real New York City one bedroom apartment. It has a custom, fully equipped modern kitchen, and a large bathroom with a whirlpool bath. Skylights and big arched windows assure that this apartment is bathed in light all day. A real home away from home, this is a very comfortable option for your New York City stay.

On the fourth floor in the rear are our guest rooms. These rooms overlook the garden and are bright and sunny all afternoon. Guest Room One is a good sized room ideal for two with all the amentites of the suites. Guest Room Two is the smallest of our accommodations, with a loft bed and a desk, TV, microwave and refrigerator. This room is a good option for the budget conscious traveller or when an additional room is needed for youngsters or extra guests traveling with your party. The two rooms share a large modern bathroom with a shower with room for two.

In addition we also offer an off premise self catering apartment for the budget traveler, larger parties, or those who prefer self catering.

On arrival we welcome you with muffins, orange juice and milk in the refrigerator for tea or coffee. Breakfast can be ordered on the phone or you can visit our excellent local restaurants. Room cleaning is a daily service.

We hold a 20% deposit by credit card, which is refundable in full if you cancel more than 7 days prior to your arrival. If the reservation is cancelled after that, we will try to re-reserve the room from our waiting list. If we are successful your deposit will be refunded in full.

Payment for the entire reservation is due in full upon arrival, and is not refundable. Long term guests are billed weekly.
