Welcome to the Carambola Inn in beautiful Fuquay-Varina, NC. This inn sits in the middle of a pine and tulip poplar thicket with the backyard bordered by a 100-year-old pecan tree. The house sits on 88 acres inside the Jones-Johnson Historic District.

Our 85-acre working farm, as well as the 70-acre adjacent farm, is available with several miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. We have a stall available for one to two horses and a complete riding academy down the street. It's amazing to watch the deer at dusk, wander country paths, and see all the wildlife and flowers, yet be within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Play golf at Crooked Creek and enjoy complimentary gym access. There are also eight golf courses between 3/4 and 12 miles away. Fishing and boating are nearby, and the North Carolina coast is two hours down I-40. Carambola Inn is 30 minutes from Durham or Chapel Hill and ten minutes from downtown Raleigh with world-class theater, music, and museums. Guests have access to a private fine dining club in downtown Raleigh. We can make all your theater and concert reservations, and we offer luxurious limos for hire. A horse and carriage can be arranged for special occasions.

Carambola Inn offers four bedrooms, including the Honeymoon Suite on the second floor, all with fireplaces and handicapped-friendly facilities. Each room has a four-poster bed, except for the downstairs Master featuring a giant sleigh bed. We also offer turn-down service, homemade goodies such as complimentary honey soap (all organic), well-stocked kitchen for snacks available to guests at all times, ironing board, iron, hairdryers, washer/dryer available upon request. EXTREMELY PET FRIENDLY. Smoking areas outside. Complimentary transportation to downtown.

Full breakfast, or choose basket in room or large continental breakfast. Saturdays, breakfast is usually buffet in style, can also be cooked to order. Breakfast avail early or late, on your own, full access to kitchen-cereals, breads, fruit, juices, teas and coffees, milk, creamer, typically eggs and sausage or bacon also in refrig., cakes or pastries.

Check In Policy:
Ck in from 1pm - 8pm. No late ck ins without prior notice and arrangements. Must know a time frame when you anticiapte your arrival. We will give you a cell phone no. when you book, so you can contact us with problems on your way, later arrival notice, or directions, etc.
Check Out Policy:
Ck out is by 12 noon, so we may change out the rooms for the next customers. Later ck out is possible, depending on our reservations and obligations that day.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation for full refund must be by three full days before ck in. Less than three full days will result in a 25.00 cancellation fee.

Typically, no children under 12. Sometimes baby sitters can be arranged.

Must be house trained, flea free, pet shots current (may be asked for copy of shots record). We ask you bring pet bedding for the floor or crates of some kind. Also, please let us know if you will have your own food and water bowls. Absolutely no vicious or snapping, aggressive, or nipping dogs. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or any pet, due to other guests on property and liablity concerns.
