Built in 1884, the Kilmarnock Inn carries the presidential theme throughout the main house and into the cottages; and although you'll receive "presidential" treatment, we'll also make sure you feel welcome and at home. Virginia and Virginia's Northern Neck have a rich presidential history. Eight Presidents were born in Virginia. Kilmarnock Inn honors this heritage with each of its eight guest cottages named for a Virginia born president.
During your stay, you can relax and enjoy all that the Northern Neck has to offer, starting with luxurious accommodations, a full 3 course southern gourmet breakfast, and a variety of amenities at Kilmarnock Inn. Arrangements for the day can be made for unforgettable adventures, such as flying above the Chesapeake Bay, taking a tour of the Northern Neck Wine Trail, sailing, power boating, kayaking, and fishing on the Rappahannock River. Enjoy a three course gourmet southern breakfast served daily from 7a-9a. Start with our fresh fruit, whatever is in season; fresh canteloup, grapes, watermelon, strawberries, raspeberries, blueberries. Then, a true Kilmarnock Inn treat, fresh baked, homemade pastries, from muffins to secret recipe rum buns. Finally, Kilmarnock Inn's signature Breakfast Brulee. The Breakfast Brulee is like a creme brulee, but filled with sausage or bacon, cheeses, and delicious spices and accompanied by scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and grits or hashbrowns. We also offer coffee, tea, and orange, apple, grapefruit, cranberry, and tomato juices.

Check in is at 3pm. If you plan to arrive earlier or late, please let us know so that we may be sure to have someone waiting for you to show you to your room. If you are early and your room is not available, you may enjoy a refreshment or cocktail in our lounge while you wait.

We understand that emergencies arise and are flexible with our cancellation policy. 7 days notice of cancellation. If cancellation is from 1-7 days, one half of rate will be charged. If same day cancellation, 1 night rate will be charged.
