Welcome to Heritage House Bed & Breakfast, an 1837 historic inn. We are located in the charming village of Washington Virginia, and the closest B&B to the world-renowned INN AT LITTLE WASHINGTON - just one short walking block. In the final days of the Civil War, Confederate General Jubal Early used the house as his headquarters during the movement of his troops from the Shenandoah Valley to Gettysburg.

Innkeepers Gary & Michelle Schwartz took over the property in the summer of 2002 and have since been working to restore the home to its original beauty while adding the comforts of modern day life. Serving as a gracious and inviting B&B for over twenty years, you will find our rooms elegant and comfortable, our hot gourmet breakfasts simply delicious and our hospitality friendly and genuine.

Check Out Policy:
Check-out, following a hot delicious gourmet breakfast, is by 11:00 a.m.
Cancellation Policy:
2-WEEK CANCELLATION POLICY: Due to our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly. Last minute cancellations leave us little opportunity to fill the space. Your reservation is guaranteed with your Credit Card. If you cancel or reschedule prior to 2 weeks of your stay, a $25 plus tax processing fee per room night will be charged to your account. If you cancel or reschedule within 2 weeks of your stay, your card will be charged in full. If we are able to re-rent the room, only the processing fee will be charged.
