2 Bed/1 Bath (shower/tub combination) | Maximum Guests: 6 |  Blue Jay is a cute 2 bedroom cabin with queen beds in each bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room, perfect for 2-6 people. The bathroom has a shower/ bath tub combination. There is a full compact kitchen with a small breakfast table with a couple of chairs. You will have plenty of space outside as there is a small covered front deck, a lower deck with a picnic table, and a screened in back porch with a table and chairs. Soak up the mountain air in the private hot tub. Grill on the gas or charcoal grills! This cabin is located in the Upper Canyon, just a short walk away from the Rio Ruidoso River! Wildlife is never far away… here you will see deer, turkey, elk, and in the warmer months, you may even see a black bear! Blue Jay is part of the original "Mountain Air Cabins" operation. The cabins were used as a logging camp and were built in the 1940's and converted to rentals sometime in the mid-to-late 1950's.  There are 6 cabins in total, Blue Jay is the highest cabin on the 1.5 acre lot with the best view!  Amenities: Two Bedrooms with Queen Beds, One bathroom with shower/ tub combination, Full Compact Kitchen, Front covered porch, Lower deck with picnic table, Screened in back porch with table and chairs, Gas grill, Fireplace, Sleeper sofa, Wifi, TV with Streaming Capabilities (SLING app offered), Window Unit for Air Conditioning, Private Hot Tub, Pet Friendly (with additional fee) Please Note: The driveway to the cabin is steep.
