Our Story 
We are the general managers of Trinidad Retreats, Jonna and Reid Kitchen.  We lived in Humboldt County for over 25 years. Reid came up to attend Humboldt State University nearly 30 years ago to get his college degree, fell in love with the Redwood Coast, met me  and together we raised a family in Trinidad.  Reid loves surfing and fishing on the North Coast.  I love the Redwood Coast for the great hiking, yoga studios, gardening, cooking  and especially the local food scene.  Together we have managed vacation homes for over 10 years expanding our business from Trinidad into nearby McKinleyville and Arcata.  Throughout this time, we have maintained our “boutique-style" by managing a limited number of high quality homes.  We take pride in the homes we manage and the relationships we create with our owners and guests.   We now live on the Central Coast of California where we work remotely as active general managers of Trinidad Retreats. We have a wonderful team of local property managers, reservation staff and housekeepers, so when you book with us you are working with true locals. Our aim is to deliver high-quality service that allows our guests to find their home away from home on the Redwood Coast.
