Tom and Sonja have spent over 40 years living in Central, Southern and West Africa.  Wildernest Safari Inn is a showcase for the art, crafts and memorabilia collected from Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guniea, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, South Africa and Zimbabwe.  Enjoy a cup of tea on the outdoor deck, shaded by mature oak trees.  Take a leisurely stroll to the spring pond only steps from the Inn or tackle a more ambitious hike on the 80-acre wooded property.  Enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and watch deer come to nibble on the salt lick near the pond.

There are plenty of things to see and do in the area.  The Greenbank Observatory is at the heart of the National Radio Quiet Zone, a safe haven for radio astronomy.  There are numerous wilderness areas nearby; Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Smoke Hole Caverns are within easy driving distance.
