The three thoughtfully decorated bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to eight guests. The master bedroom on the main level boasts a king-sized bed. Upstairs find the second bedroom with one king bed and one twin, and the third bedroom with one full and one twin. You'll find yourself captivated by the local culture and the stunning beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering endless opportunities for outdoor adventures, from hiking and biking to fishing, kayaking down the New River, and wildlife watching. Nearby must see attractions include: Ashe County Cheese - see cheese being made and enjoy delicious ice cream! (20 minutes away!) Molly Chomper Cidery (30 minutes away!) Ashe County Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am to 1pm from April to October! Mount Jefferson State Park - great place for family photos. Stunning views! (20 minutes away!) Grayson Highlands State Park - Excellent hiking with scenic views, more than 5,000 feet in elevation. See wild horses! (1 hour away!) Old Barn Winery - Live music, food trucks, perfect atmosphere! Additional Notes: - CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. - Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am - Repeat guests returning to Honey Bear Retreat can receive a 10% discount (not to be stacked with other discounts). - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.  - Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax. - Towels and linens will be provided for you. - This property is pet friendly with a $25 per day fee. Only 2 dogs allowed at a time. - AWD or 4WD vehicles are strongly encouraged during winter months. The road leading to this home is gravel and moderately steep.  - Gravel parking space for up to 4 vehicles  - There are 2 exterior floodlight cams mounted on outside corners of the home facing away from the home. There are no other cameras onsite.
