About The Property

Beautiful oceanfront condominium located at the edge of the spectacular and historic Bloody Point (site of ferocious battles between Native Americans and British Soldiers in the early 1700s) is a destination vacation spot. A two-sided balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and resort pool provides the perfect environment to soak up the beach atmosphere. Daufuskie Island is a place you can truly relax. The island sits between Hilton Head and Tybee Island (both visible from the Sandy Lane beach). While on Daufuskie Island you will want to explore the historical part of the island visit local artisans, or just enjoy the beautiful beach with the white sand. While exploring the island you will want to visit the Silverdew Winery and the Bloody Point Lighthouse Museum and Gift Shop. The tiny and historic Silver Dew Winery is located in an unassuming building that dates all the way back to 1883. The building was originally constructed as what was known back then as a "wick house". Wick houses were used as a place to store oil, wicks, and even the lamp for the nearby Bloody Point Lighthouse. Join us for wine tastings and a stroll through the vineyard. Wine is available for purchase at our nearby Bloody Point Lighthouse Gift Shop. The local artisans on the island include the Iron Fish Gallery where American-made, award winning metal sculptor Chase Allen specializes in handcrafting coastal fish, mermaid, crab, sea turtle, lobster, and stingray sculptures from his studio gallery; Daufuskie Soap Co. is dedicated to bringing the spirit of Daufuskie Island to you in the form of the finest bath and body products. Their handcrafted soaps and body products are made in-house in small batches. Daufuskie Soap Co. offers a truly authentic, artisanal indulgence; A visit to the Daufuskie Blues studio includes a real-life, schoolbook lesson about the history of indigo and about preserving the historical techniques and skills that can bring out the magic of this amazingly beautiful blue color! Once dyed, indigo is so colorfast that it can last for centuries. The front room of the old two-room schoolhouse is where you will encounter hand-dyed textiles (scarves, napkins, hand towels, shirts) made with organic indigo and other natural colors only available on Daufuskie; Daufuskie Wine & Woodworks is located on the north end of the island next to Freeport Marina. The woodworking shop builds wooden kayaks, surfboards, canoes, and paddleboards. The quaint wine shop operates out of an attached building where many wines and craft beers are curated, and where you can also enjoy organic, sustainable, and low production wines from vineyards throughout the area. You will also want to check out the two local restaurants, Old Daufuskie Crab Co. (located next to the public dock) or D'fuskies store and eatery. School Grounds Coffee is a casual cafe on the island offering customers a selection of distinctive roasts. The villa's large resort-like pool is another amenity your family will enjoy. Provided are lounge chairs and an area for grilling. Your destination vacation begins with a trip across Calibogue Sound via public ferryboat or private water taxi. IMPORTANT: DAUFUSKIE ISLAND HAS NO BRIDGE, AND IT IS NECESSARY TO TAKE A FERRY OR WATER TAXI TO GET HERE. YOU WILL LEAVE YOUR CAR ON THE MAINLAND AND USE A GOLF CART TO GET AROUND THE ISLAND. Currently the cost of ferry and land transportation is about $86 person.
