Private whole house rentals can mask to your own comfort level. Breakfast trays available to take to your room, or breakfast is served throughout our spacious first floor rooms or wrap around porch, weather permitting. We do not enter your room during the stay. If you need linens, we will provide them or do a full cleaning upon request. Private bathrooms in each suite ensure your space is always as safe as when you arrived. You have access to over 5,000 sq ft of beautifully appointed rooms and wrap around porch. On the second floor we have 4 guest suites and an additional suite on the first floor with a private entrance. Grab a tea and relax in our lovely parlor in front of the fireplace with several seating areas and views to choose from. A full breakfast served at 9 am daily. We tie in locally sourced food from our weekly farmer's markets & vendors. Big delicious breakfasts are prepared by our tallented owners. The self-serve bistro has snacks, coffees and teas locally blended and available anytime you like. Wines, cocktails & charcuterie available to order. Small weddings and events up to 25 guests possible year round. Larger events are limited. Holiday whole house rentals preferred. Each beautifully appointed guest room has a private bathroom, Smart TV, Wifi, Alexa and DVD player with a copy of the movie of choice here; Groundhog Day. You may recognize this house from the iconic 1993 movie "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray's character stayed. And before you ask... Yes, you always get a hot shower & no, we don't serve espresso or cappuccinos, but I can spell them! We have movie memorabilia on display in the parlor. The entire movie site is the town of Woodstock, IL where we are located just a few blocks from the square and plaques of the scene locations. A huge 4-day celebration happens here every February. We hold tours for charity. Although we enjoy the movie buffs, anytime of year is a great time to visit for countless events and activities in town or to simply rock away the day on our wrap-around porch. Many came because of the movie for their first visit, but return regularly for fabulous food and company.
Lori & George met & married in Florida almost a decade ago. Their love of travel & old homes took them to several inspirational locations around the country. They bought this house after staying here as guests in 2017. George is Chicago born & Woodstock raised. He is thrilled be back here sharing his knowledge of the area.
