The Thomas Bond House Bed & Breakfast provides a unique alternative to chain hotels in the heart of Philadelphia’s Old City. The 12 guestrooms have been carefully restored and exquisitely furnished with period furniture and authentic accessories to delight even the most discriminating of tastes. All rooms have private baths. In keeping with the custom of the Federal Period, the most luxurious accommodations are on the second floor. Two of the guestrooms are arranged as suites with queen-size beds and full-size sofa beds with working gas fireplaces – one has an adjoining room available if desired. On weekdays, we offer a continental plus breakfast including freshly baked muffins, cakes and pastries, house made granola, cereal, oatmeal, guest’s favorite fruit salad and more. On weekends, enjoy a hearty and delicious hot plated breakfast cooked by your innkeepers. We offer complimentary wine each evening and freshly baked cookies for a late night snack. Your innkeepers would be delighted to offer recommendations of the many fine restaurants in the area, like the famous City Tavern located directly across the street. We can also provide more information on the numerous historic attractions and activities to engage in here in Philadelphia. Most historic attractions are within walking distance that can be located on the maps provided by the Inn. We are just 2 blocks away from the Delaware River Waterfront Pier/ Penn’s Landing that hosts beautiful views of the Delaware River and New Jersey, Spruce Street Harbor Park, the Independence Seaport Museum, seasonal activities such as ice skating and roller skating, concerts, festivals, flea markets and more.
